IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Yvonne
Bass
September 1, 1937 – March 9, 2024
Anna "Yvonne" Bass was born in Century, FL, on September 1, 1937, and passed away in Pensacola, FL, on Saturday, March 9, 2024.
Yvonne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother "Nina", sister, and friend. She adored her grandchildren and had great love for her nieces and nephews and was a favorite aunt to many. She shared a very special loving bond with her sisters and brothers, and she cherished and always looked forward to family get-togethers and spending time together. She had a servant's heart, always providing care for those who needed it, and always putting others before herself. In her presence, you always felt welcome and loved.
Yvonne loved the Lord and was a faithful member of St. Mark United Methodist Church for over 60 years. One of her greatest enjoyments was singing in the choir and sharing what she called special music. A special thank you to the members of St. Mark's choir for the years of camaraderie, friendship, support, and love.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda; parents, Don and Mae Bell Newton; and sister, Mary Voncile Hall.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Hugh; her youngest daughter, Kimberly McMurray (Doug); grandson, Brandon McMurray (Christa); granddaughter, Ashton McMurray; sister, Donnie Mae White; brothers, John Newton (Charlotte), Dewayne Newton (Becky); and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Ser vice will be held 3:00pm Friday, March 15, 2024, at Bayview Memorial Park with the Reverend Dan Baughman officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Newton, Dewayne Newton, Doug McMurray, Brandon McMurray, Kevin Hall, and Matthew Newton.
Let all that you do be done in love.
